Travis Kelce is taking legal advice after a rumoured “contact’ over his relationship Taylor Swift leaked.
The professional sportsman and mega popstar have been an item since September 2023 with many fans believing the Love Story hitmaker had finally found the one.
Rumours about their romance started to swirl after Swift appeared at one of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs games to support her beau.
While their romance appears to be going from strength to strength, with Travis even joining Taylor on stage at one of her Wembley Stadium concerts, some have questioned if the relationship between the high profile pair is an elaborate publicity stunt. Travis’ team are now said to be taking action after documents emerged on X, formerly known as Twitter allegedly setting out a media plan for when Taylor and Travis are due to split up – allegedly later this month.
The documents which were said to have been created by a Los Angeles publicity firm have set out a plan for the split announcement on September 28. However, sources close to Travis, 34, have strongly denied the claims and have insisted that the “contract” is completely false.
Social media users have been sharing the documents online which set out a “post-breakup” plan which would allow “the initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity” just three days after their rumoured split on September 28. The false documents state that the announcement would be “gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect”.
It adds: “To effectively manage and mitigate the fallout from the breakup between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, ensuring Travis Kelce retains a positive public image, minimizes negative media portrayal, and continues to build his personal and professional brand.” The fabricated documents shared what a statement would say, should Taylor and Travis split up.
It reads: “Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time. They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.”
The documents also show that the announcement of a split would focus on Kelce’s “personal growth” as break-ups are a “natural part of life,” while adding that it will also focus on his career and achievements in the sporting world. The “objective” of the false documents reads: “To effectively manage and mitigate the fallout from the breakup between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, ensuring Travis Kelce retains a positive public image, minimizes negative media portrayal and continues to build his personal and professional brand.”
It adds that the publicity firm that would be looking after Travis’ media deals after the alleged split would conduct mock interviews to prepare Travis for potential questions, should he be asked. It adds that they would seek to secure interviews with “reputable sports and lifestyle outlets” including ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair and GQ.
But a spokesperson for Full Scope, the company behind the rumoured documents has now stated that they are “entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorised by this agency.” In a statement to MailOnline, they said: “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.”
