Travis Kelce’s expensive farewell gifts for Taylor Swift during European tour

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has spent $75,000 on Taylor Swift before returning to the United States, splashing out on gifts from designer Italian brands

Taylor Swift has been showered with gifts from boyfriend Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs star heads home to prepare for the upcoming NFL season.Kelce has spent the majority of the summer with Swift as she tours around the world performing her “Eras Tour” in front of record crowds. Most recently she’s been performing in Europe, and Kelce took advantage of Milan’s high-end stores to treat Swift to $75,000 of designer gifts.

According to The Sun, Kelce gifted Swift 14 items following an extensive shopping spree and purchased goods from Prada, Valentino, Bottega Veneta, and Fendi. Kelce couldn’t attend her Milan shows due to golfing commitments with brother Jason, but made up for his absence with some luxury items for his girlfriend.

Dresses, shoes, and accessories were purchased for Swift as a farewell, with Kelce due back with the Chiefs on July 21. Kelce has toured with Swift around European venues in Germany and the UK, but the couple will now be separated with the NFL season fast approaching.

A source told The Sun that Kelce is well aware of Swift’s love of the top Italian brands, and wanted to treat her in one final showing of affection after spending the summer together. “Travis knows Taylor loves these brands,” a source said.

“He wants her to have a true Italian touch in her closet. Travis loves Valentino, both for him and Taylor.” This summer was the longest period that Kelce and Swift have spent together, with their relationship taking off during the previous NFL season.

But their summer has come to an end with Kelce due to mandatory training on July 21 ahead of NFL preseason. Kelce will now be locked in with the Chiefs until at least February, should they reach the Super Bowl for the third season in a row.

Swift’s “Eras Tour” is set to end on Dec. 8, meaning she will be free to support Kelce toward the end of the regular season and through the playoffs, should the Chiefs reach the postseason as expected. There have been concerns over Kelce’s focus as the Chiefs prepare to attempt a historic 3-peat, but head coach Andy Reid trusts that the tight end will remain professional.

“I’m okay with it, as long as they’re ready to go,” Reid told reporters when asked about how the lifestyle of Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes could impact preparations. However, he did send a clear message to Kelce by suggesting he will be able to tell if he isn’t fully fit.

“Training camp is kind of that proving ground. If you’re not ready to go, it’s going to be obvious quickly,” Reid said to reporters. “Just from whether it’s a conditioning test or the long drive drills that we do. Those things that are, you’re going to find out who’s in and who’s not in and who’s put their time.”
