Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center, showcased his impressive golf skills at the 2024 American Century Championship’s long drive competition on Thursday.
Competing at the picturesque Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, Kelce tied for the top spot with an extraordinary 322-yard drive.
Kelce’s achievement marks a familial milestone, as he follows in the footsteps of his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who previously set the record for the longest shot in 2022.
In a heartfelt message during an exclusive interview with Nat FL, Travis extended his congratulations, saying, “Congratulations my big brother, that is a great shot and Jason deserves to win this year’s Long Drive competition.”
Despite retiring from the NFL in March, the 36-year-old Jason Kelce remains a prominent figure in the sports world. His popularity was evident as he participated in the practice round on Thursday, mingling with current and former athletes before the event’s official start on Friday.
The three-round event promises an exciting lineup of returning participants, including New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, NBA Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley, and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Newcomers to the competition include former 11-time MLB All-Star Albert Pujols and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The first round of the American Century Championship will commence on Friday at 10:45 a.m. Eastern Time, featuring a blend of seasoned veterans and fresh faces, all competing for glory on the greens of Edgewood Tahoe.
