Yet, he remains undeterred. “Last year was pretty taxing on my body,” Kelce admitted after a grueling training camp session. I’ve had more snaps than most in the NFL over the past five or six years. I’m proud of that, but it has definitely taken a toll. It’s about ensuring my body gets the rest it needs and training hard to endure a 17-to-20-game season.”

Since his debut in 2013, Kelce hasn’t missed a single regular-season game. Even a low ankle sprain sustained in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings last season couldn’t keep him down for long. After a brief exit for X-rays, Kelce was back on the field in the third quarter, catching a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to clinch a 27-20 win.
Despite not hitting the 1,000 receiving yards mark last season for the first time in seven years, Kelce’s performance didn’t disappoint. He racked up 984 yards and five touchdowns off 93 receptions, making successful catches on 76.9 percent of his targets, his second-highest career figure.
