Travis Kelce has been making significant upgrades to his $6 million Kansas City mansion in preparation for Taylor Swift’s arrival ahead of the upcoming NFL season.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end has even remodeled his kitchen to accommodate Swift’s love for cooking.

Swift is currently wrapping up four months of her Eras Tour in Europe, with shows in Austria and London before she returns to the United States. Meanwhile, Kelce is in training camp with his Chiefs team.

The NFL season kicks off on September 5th, with the Chiefs hosting the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium in a highly anticipated opener. Swift’s attendance at the game is expected, given her clear touring schedule.

According to a report in NFL Life and Style on Wednesday, Swift is set to make Kansas City her home base while Kelce and the Chiefs compete for their third straight Super Bowl. A source revealed, “She’s had the time of her life performing all over the world, but she’s looking forward to just nesting during her tour’s two-month hiatus. She can’t wait to root Travis on at Kansas City Chiefs’ home games and really focus on him without having one foot out the door.”

Kelce has taken steps to ensure his mansion feels like home for Swift. “He has done what he can to make his house feel like home to her, even upgrading the kitchen because she loves to cook for him and their friends,” the source added. Friends close to the couple believe this downtime is exactly what Swift needs and wouldn’t be surprised if it leads to a wedding.

Kelce purchased the mansion last year, shortly after his relationship with Swift became public, amid suggestions he wanted more privacy as his profile grew. The property, located in a gated community in Kansas City, features a waterfall swimming pool and a mini golf course. Kelce has spoken about enjoying cooking with Swift, humorously noting in a press conference earlier this year, “Taylor makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll.”

Swift included a clip of Kelce in a promotional video for her recent “Midnights” album, showing her recording herself cooking. Kelce attended multiple Eras Tour shows during his offseason and even made a surprise appearance as a backing dancer during one of Swift’s performances at Wembley.
