One of the greatest quarterbacks of all time revealed his top-five quarterbacks currently in the NFL.
At Fanatics Fest on Sunday, Peyton Manning listed the active quarterbacks he thinks are the best. His No. 1 quarterback shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as Manning named Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
From there, Manning listed Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow, who missed much of last season with an injury but is looking to bounce back this year.
“I’m a big fan of Joe Burrow. Glad to see him back and healthy,” Manning said. “I like the way he carries himself… He doesn’t sweat, he doesn’t flinch. He’s just kind of calm and cool the whole time.”
Manning also listed Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, who Manning said “can throw it a mile.”
Of course, Manning also had to include the reigning MVP Lamar Jackson, citing the Baltimore Ravens star to do everything on the field well.
“Lamar Jackson does things that just don’t seem possible with the football in his hands,” Manning said. “He makes throws, he runs, he’s smart. He protects himself, too.”
Lastly, Manning listed Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen, who has come up short in the playoffs recently but is motivated to finally win a Super Bowl, according to Manning.
“Josh Allen’s a total stud. Tough,” Manning said. “I saw him this summer, he is so motivated to bring a championship to Buffalo.”
Earning praise from Manning is no small feat for the five quarterbacks named. For those who were left off the list, they’ll look to use it as motivation in the upcoming season.
