Travis Kelce has revealed a new detail about his romance with Taylor Swift!
While appearing on the Rich Eisen Show on Tuesday, Sept. 3, Kelce, 34, reflected on his experience joining the pop star, 34, on stage during a London Eras Tour stop in June and shared another adorable nickname for her.
Responding to whether there was any prep work before he went on stage for the singer’s performance of “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted it “wasn’t a lot.”
“Taylor knew when the lights are on, I’m gonna have some fun,” said Kelce. “She put me in a position where I didn’t have to do much for it to be a success. She put me in a really comfortable part of the show, and I was just there not to screw anything up.”
The NFL star added that his main goal was not to drop Swift while carrying her during his segment on stage.
“That would have been the most embarrassing thing I could have ever done. Just getting her to the couch was the hardest part,” he said.
When asked whether Swift had made sure he wanted to join her on stage, Kelce said, “Oh, for sure.”
“There was definitely that extra like, ‘Wait, are you sure you want to do this?’ But she was so fun about it, and you know, I’m always down to have some fun on stage with Tay Tay,” he said, revealing one of Kelce’s various nicknames for Swift.
Swift previously reflected on sharing the stage with Kelce, writing in a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, June 24, “I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut 🥰 never going to forget these shows.”
During an episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast in January, the football player sweetly referred to the musician as “Tay.”
That same month, Kelce referred to Swift as “sweetie” in a viral clip of the two following the Chiefs’ AFC Championship victory.
