Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce spent a glamorous and event-packed weekend together in New York City, making appearances at some of the city’s most high-profile events.
The couple, who have been romantically linked since the summer of 2023, were spotted enjoying the US Open Men’s Final on Sunday, September 8th, between American Taylor Fritz and Italian Jannik Sinner.
Swift, dressed in a chic red and white gingham dress paired with caramel pumps, was seen taking a picture of Kelce during the match.
Kelce sported a stylish look, wearing a red, light-brown, and green Gucci bucket hat with a white cardigan, polo shirt, and shorts. Also joining the couple in the tennis suite were Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany.
The weekend marked several public outings for the couple, who have made quite a few appearances together across the city. On Saturday night, Swift and Kelce attended the wedding of model and singer Karen Elson to art collector Lee Foster, held at the iconic Electric Lady Studios. Swift wowed in a cream Zimmerman cutout dress embroidered with florals on the skirt, paired with nude Christian Louboutin sandals and a bright blue Vivienne Westwood round purse. Kelce, opting for an all-black ensemble, wore a short-sleeved shirt and matching pants.
The previous night, the couple was seen dining at Lucali, a famed Italian pizzeria in Brooklyn. Swift, turning heads with her sleek look, donned a sheer black top over a bralette and a black miniskirt, completing the ensemble with Louis Vuitton high boots and a Louis Vuitton Coussin BB purse. Kelce kept things simple in all-black attire as the couple walked hand-in-hand into the restaurant. The entrance of the celebrity couple caused quite the stir, with patrons watching them in awe as they entered the pizzeria. News of their presence spread quickly, and a crowd formed outside while Swift and Kelce enjoyed their meal.
Swift and Kelce’s love story began in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Kelce, a self-professed “huge Swifty,” attended the concert with high hopes of gifting the singer a friendship bracelet featuring his phone number. Unfortunately, Kelce’s plan didn’t go as expected. During the July 26th episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce shared his disappointment about not being able to meet Swift due to her pre-show rituals. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he admitted, adding, “I was a little butt hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
Despite the initial hiccup, it seems Swift and Kelce have since made up for lost time, with their relationship blossoming in the months following that concert. This past weekend in New York City, the couple appeared happy, relaxed, and very much in love, as they navigated their busy schedules before Swift resumes her Eras Tour in Miami in mid-October and Kelce returns to Kansas City to prepare for the NFL season with the Chiefs.
