It’s more difficult for him to do it than it would have been if it had been 25 or 30 years. But he’s still got the skill and talent, that is obvious, at the present time, such as the British Grand Prix this year. So it’s unusual but at some point he has to retire as a racing driver and he feels that that time has not yet arrived, and I can understand that. And this is, I think, his biggest challenge.

Sir Jackie Stewart told the media including RacingNews365

Stewart has cited that Hamilton’s move at an older age would be more difficult than if it had been at the age of 25 or 30. He then iterated that Hamilton still possesses top skill and talent to make this move a successful one.

The 39-year-old has won twice this season and continues to challenge younger drivers to the very best of their limits. He will therefore be eyeing to write a new legacy with the Maranello-based team in search of a record eighth title.
