Charles Leclerc asserts ‘no question mark’ over his pace compared to Lewis Hamilton from 2025

Charles Leclerc believed that he wouldn’t question his pace against Lewis Hamilton after both pair up at Ferrari in 2025.

Lewis Hamilton has continued to perform extremely well in the 2024 season amidst inconsistent Mercedes form.

Ferrari, on the other hand, has showcased a steady performance apart from a few issues during races. Hence, Charles Leclerc believed it wasn’t fair to compare the pace of Hamilton and himself this season.

Lewis Hamilton‘s 2025 move to Ferrari means that Charles Leclerc and he would have a level playing field on track.

Both drivers would be provided with the same machinery and opportunity during races. Amidst this, Leclerc noted that he saw Hamilton being faster in a corner with the Mercedes chassis and thus, doubted the capabilities of his own chassis.Charles Leclerc asserts ‘no question mark’ over his pace compared to Lewis Hamilton from 2025

When I look at his (Lewis Hamilton’s) data and he is much faster in one corner [in the Mercedes], you still have the doubt of whether my car is capable of doing what he does.

Charles Leclerc told ESPN

However, Leclerc and Hamilton would pair up at Ferrari in the coming season and reduce these contingencies. The former added that from the 2025 season onwards he wouldn’t have to think about these situations. Hence, it will be ‘huge’ to witness both drivers going head to head against each other for the same team.

But next year there won’t be this question mark anymore. So it will be a huge.

Charles Leclerc revealed ‘really good relationship’ with Lewis Hamilton

Both drivers would have to remain extremely professional while fighting on track so as to not cause problems. However, there won’t be issues on this front as Charles Leclerc revealed that both of them already started working on their relationship.

He is a huge professional, I have so much respect for him and we already have a really good relationship.

Ferrari’s current performance might not help them contend for the constructors championship this season. Regardless, the Italian constructor is hopeful of fruitful times after pairing up Leclerc and Hamilton. The coming few seasons might put forth a highly exciting situation for the Scuderia and their fans.
