F1 pundit hilariously brands Lewis Hamilton as a ‘vegan sushi’

Lewis Hamilton amassed his first race win since 2021 at this year’s British Grand Prix.

The seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has only six races remaining with the Mercedes F1 team. He has already amassed two Grand Prix wins this year and renowned pundit Ruth Buscombe is not at all surprised by it.

Since the start of 2022, Lewis Hamilton has majorly had a torrid time in the sport. The ground-effect era has not suited the Mercedes cars and thus, on several occasions, it has been questioned whether Hamilton still had what it takes to win.

While Hamilton has proved all his doubters wrong this year, especially in race trim, Ruth Buscombe always had faith in the former.F1 pundit hilariously brands Lewis Hamilton as a ‘vegan sushi’

You have now all seen it, but like I knew a couple of months ago, he cared a lot about winning with Mercedes, you know like, people can obviously say what they wanna say, but like it was very clear to me. He’s done, he has not checked out, like people can have their own opinions.

Buscombe further shed light on her conversation regarding the Mercedes upgrades and she had the following to add.

A long conversation I had with him a couple of months ago, was talking about what they were going to bring in terms of upgrades, I knew like he was not cooked, he’s sushi, he’s vegan sushi probably.

The F1 pundit via her comments, has given a fascinating take on the 39-year-old. After 2021, this year is the first time that Hamilton was able to stand on the top step of the podium. He was yearning for this moment for a long time. Now that he has done it twice, he will be raring to go in his last six outings with Mercedes from Austin onwards.

Ex-F1 driver urges Ferrari to build 2025 challenger around Lewis Hamilton

While Ruth Buscombe never had any doubts regarding Hamilton’s abilities behind the wheel of the W15, several people are looking forward to the latter’s 2025 move to Ferrari. The Ex-F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has urged Fred Vasseur and Co. to listen to Hamilton when he arrives next year.

Montoya genuinely feels that Ferrari’s 2025 key to success lies with the seven-time world champion.

If Ferrari really wants to succeed, they really need to listen to what Lewis needs and build a car around him that Lewis wants. I think we’ll see the Lewis of old. He’s going to be out with revenge to prove everybody wrong and show everybody they were wrong about him. I think if everything lines up, I think Lewis can be a huge threat for a championship.

Hamilton will partner up with the prolific Charles Leclerc at Ferrari from next year onwards. The latter has on several occasions, admitted to looking forward to learning a lot from the Brit as teammates on the Maranello-based outfit.

The 2025 F1 season will be a must-see campaign from the point of view of the fans, the pundits, and all the other interested parties. If Ferrari gets things right with the SF-25, the lethal combination of Hamilton and Leclerc could wreak some serious havoc on the grid next year.
