Patrick Mahomes Shrugs Off Ankle Injury: Andy Reid Confirms QB Is Good to Go vs. Broncos

Kansas City Chiefs fans can breathe easy as quarterback Patrick Mahomes is set to take the field this Sunday against the Denver Broncos, despite an injury scare earlier this week.

Mahomes, who tweaked his ankle during Monday night’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has not missed a single practice this week, and head coach Andy Reid confirmed the superstar QB is “good to go” for the upcoming matchup.

“He hasn’t missed anything,” Reid said during his Friday news conference. “He’s done a good job.”

This is certainly a sigh of relief for the Chiefs, who rely heavily on Mahomes’ dynamic playmaking ability. While the injury initially had fans holding their breath, Mahomes has proven his toughness and resilience, bouncing back quickly to prepare for another critical divisional game.

As of now, Mahomes has been playing at a high level in the 2024 season. He’s completed 69.9 percent of his passes for 1,942 yards, with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.Có thể là hình ảnh về 4 người, mọi người đang chơi bóng bầu dục và văn bản While those numbers may not be eye-popping, they reflect a quarterback who continues to lead his team effectively and produce when it counts.

The only notable absentee for Sunday’s game will be wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is still battling a hamstring injury. Smith-Schuster, who has been a solid contributor to the Chiefs’ offense, did not practice this week and has officially been ruled out for the game against Denver.

But for Chiefs Kingdom, the big news is Mahomes’ readiness. With the MVP-caliber quarterback under center, Kansas City fans can look forward to another exciting game as the team aims to keep their playoff hopes alive in what’s shaping up to be an intense AFC West battle.

With Mahomes at the helm, it’s hard to bet against the Chiefs, even with a few injuries sidelining some key players. One thing is certain: when the stakes are high, you can count on Mahomes to be ready to play.
