Taylor Swift has made a change to the ticketing for her renowned Eras Tour as she moves into the final months of the 149 show run.
The team behind the tour have made a big move to try and combat the high level of scams that have been reported recently.
The official Eras Tour X account wrote: “Due to consistent scams and tickets being transferred out of people’s accounts, tickets for the remaining shows of Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ will only be made available at most 3 days before each show, and thus will only be transferable then as well.”
As the popularity of the tour grew over the past year and a half, so did claims of scams and fake tickets. Desperate fans who didn’t manage to get their hands on tickets in the original sale purchased second hand tickets from others, which in many cases turned out to be fake or already used.

Fans who had flown across seas and traveled hours on the day of the show were turned away at the gate, their dreams crushed and money down the drain. Listening to the complaints of the fans, Taylor’s team made the change to do everything in their power to prevent these scams. Now, the shorter window for ticket transfers will hopefully limit scalpers from being able to sell fake tickets weeks or months ahead of time.
The team have issued warnings in the past, to look out for signs that the tickets you are purchasing may not be valid.
