Lewis Hamilton declared that the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association (GPDA) just wanted FIA to provide the drivers with better conditions.
The FIA has continued to be the center of massive attention and backlash amidst unfair rulings against the drivers in Formula 1. Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc‘s penalty for swearing on track was the final straw for the drivers to take action.
The Grand Prix Drivers’ Association (GPDA) lodged a formal statement against the governing body as they await a response. Hence, Lewis Hamilton also shared his opinion on the ongoing fiasco.
Max Verstappen received a ridiculous community service penalty following his swearing at a conference in the Singapore GP. The Dutchman continued to mock the penalty and the FIA amidst the massive backlash faced by the latter.
Following GPDA’s complaint, Lewis Hamilton came forth and reckoned that some things needed addressing as the FIA needed to do better in collaborating with the drivers.

Lewis Hamilton said in a Las Vegas GP press conference
Lewis Hamilton further declared that the GPDA’s interest was to have the sport thrive better. Moreover, the 39-year-old claimed that the drivers had zero to gain with the ongoing tussle. The drivers simply want better race weekend conditions and more inclusion in FIA decisions through improved communication.
We want the sport to continue to thrive and be better. We have zero to gain with the comments that we’re making in terms of things that can be better through the race weekends, and all we’re asking is to communicate with us more and include us.
Lewis Hamilton added

Lewis Hamilton ready to ‘chase up’ the FIA if they do not respond to GPDA’s statement
The FIA has yet to respond to the multiple questions lodged by the GPDA. Hence, Lewis Hamilton declared that the association was ready to chase up the governing body if they didn’t receive a response soon. The Briton didn’t hesitate to accept that the FIA already had a lot on their plate. Regardless, chasing them at such a time only strengthened the drivers’ unity and showcased that the demands were serious this time.
If we don’t get a response (from FIA), I’m sure we’ll chase them up. I know they’ve got a lot going on at the moment, but I think it’s just to show that more than ever, the drivers are united, which is perhaps not something you’ve always seen in the past.
