And Mahomes has plenty of reasons to celebrate on and off the field: his son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III is going to turn two this Thursday November 28th, Thanksgiving Day.

To celebrate it, Mahomes and Adidas launched a new colorway sneaker from the line of the Chiefs quarterback. The “Magic Beige/Bronze Strata/Magic Beige” colorway made its way to the Adidas website this Monday.

“Three rings, three stripes, three generations. The legend lives on the field. The legacy lives at home,” Patrick Mahomes is heard saying in the ad for the new colorway. “Omg my wittle Bronze,” and “The best shoe yet.” said Bronze’s mother Brittany Mahomes in a post on her Instagram story.

Mahomes’ absence at Thanksgiving changes plans for his mother

Randi Mahomes had to adjust her plans for Thanksgiving after her son skipped their traditional meal whilst leading the Chiefs to a Week 12 NFL victory over the Carolina Panthers on November 24.

The quarterback’s late 33-yard rush attempt set up a field goal for the Chiefs to claim a slender 30-27 win against the 3-8 Panthers at the Bank of America Stadium in a game they were expected to dominate.

However, the cost of playing football is dear as he had to miss spending time with his mother, who posted a photo to Instagram with her family as they celebrated the tradition, which she revealed dates back to 2007.

The photo featured some good news for fans of the family as Patrick’s grandfather, Randy Martin, was spotted looking in solid health after spending most of the year struggling in and out of hospital.
