The Briton’s previous record of single Topps card sales was around $900k following his performances in the sport.

Lewis Hamilton will ‘cherish’ the special helmet gift from Mercedes
While planning the mega farewell, the Mercedes crew took time to individually write a short personal message on Lewis Hamilton’s helmet. The team gifted this helmet to the Briton as a souvenir of good times with Brackley. Hence, the 39-year-old took to Instagram to thank his team for the wonderful gift. The Mercedes star reckoned that he will forever cherish the helmet even while racing for Ferrari.

Hamilton will look ahead to racing with the Maranello-based Ferrari F1 team in the coming few seasons after putting a difficult campaign with Mercedes behind. The 39-year-old will always be remembered in the Brackley-based team as a huge part of the family.
