Revelation: Lewis Hamilton reveals the 3 main difficulties at the Austrian GP; if he improves this situation, he believes he will perform better in the next race.

The Austria Grand Prix, held at the Red Bull Ring circuit, was presented as a significant challenge for Lewis Hamilton. The British pilot, who has always been a strong contender in Formula 1, faced several difficulties that influenced his performance during the race. In a recent interview, Hamilton shared the three main difficulties he faced in this event and how he plans to address them to improve their performance in the next race.

1. The lack of equilibrium of the car

One of Hamilton’s greatest concerns during Austria’s Grand Prix was the imbalance of his car. According to him, the handling and stability of the car were key to its low performance. “The car simply did not have the balance we need to be competitive in this type of circuits,” said Hamilton. “The behavior in the curves was unstable, and this cost us a lot of time on the track. It is not the level of confidence that I usually have in normal conditions.”

This imbalance, which translates into an unpredictable response of the car during the curves, turned out to be a determining factor for Hamilton to not effectively compete with his rivals, especially Max Verstappen, who dominated the race.

2. Tire management

Another aspect that Hamilton highlighted was the management of the tires during the race. The high temperatures and changing conditions of the track tested the capacities of the pilots in terms of the durability of the tires. For Hamilton, this was an additional difficulty. “We had problems with the wear and tear of the tires, and that affected us a lot in the second half of the race. We knew we could not risk making another stop, but the circuit conditions were extremely tough with the tires,” explained the seven -time world champion.

The premature wear of the tires affected their ability to maintain a constant and competitive rhythm, which left him out of the fight for the top positions.

3. Carrera and lack of team communication strategy

Finally, Hamilton mentioned that the career strategy and the lack of effective communication with his team were another key obstacle. Although the Mercedes team had developed a solid strategy before the race, changing conditions and quick decisions during it did not always coincide with what Hamilton expected. “At some times, communication with the team was not as fluid as we needed it. There were times when we did not know if we were making the right decisions regarding the stops in boxes or the tire changes,” he added.

Hamilton stressed that greater coordination and clarity between him and his team of engineers will be fundamental to improve in the following careers. “It is important to have that direct connection with the team to quickly react to changes on the track,” he concluded.

What comes to Hamilton?

Despite the difficulties he faced in Austria, Hamilton remains optimistic about his performance in the next races. “If we can solve these problems, I have full confidence that we can be more competitive in the next race,” said the Mercedes pilot.

With Great Britain’s Grand Prix on the horizon, Hamilton and his team have time to adjust the car and refine the necessary strategies to overcome the obstacles that were presented in Austria. As always, the British pilot does not underestimate his rivals, but is convinced that with proper work, he can be again in the fight for the podium.

Conclusion

Although Austria’s Grand Prix was complicated for Lewis Hamilton, the revelations he made about the difficulties he faced give us a clear vision of the aspects to improve. The lack of balance in the car, the management of the tires and the career strategy are factors that the British pilot and his team must address to ensure better performance in the following competitions. With his positive mentality and his focus on continuous improvement, Hamilton remains one of the favorites to conquer more titles in Formula 1.
