F1 CEO warns Charles Leclerc with ‘not an easy teammate’ verdict on Lewis Hamilton’ 2025 Ferrari arrival

Stefano Domenicali feels Charles Leclerc could have a tough time alongside the F1 megastar Lewis Hamilton.

The seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, will rep the Red of Ferrari from 2025 onwards.

This still feels like a dream to many of the Tifosi but amidst this, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has given a fascinating verdict.

Stefano Domenicali has warned Charles Leclerc ahead of Lewis Hamilton‘s arrival. The former has been making his trade with the Maranello-based team since the start of the 2019 season.

However, despite this, Domenicali feels Hamilton will be a huge challenge for the 27-year-old.

Charles will, of course, have to accept that someone like Lewis is not an easy teammate. On the other hand, Lewis will definitely have the ability to convey his positivity in his efforts to achieve his record. They respect each other a lot, and I hope they will continue to do so at the end of the year.

Hamilton’s main motive behind joining Ferrari is to have a serious go at the record-breaking eighth F1 world championship. He will go gung-ho in pursuit of this in 2025 and if Ferrari produces a championship-worthy car, then Leclerc will pretty much be kept on his toes by the former.

Lewis Hamilton will bring immense ‘interest’ at Ferrari

While Domenicali has urged Leclerc to be at his best in 2025, he has also talked about the overall impact of Hamilton’s Ferrari arrival. The F1 CEO has shed light on how the seven-time world champion will have to deal with new things on the Maranello-based outfit.

He will bring a lot of interest. He is learning Italian to understand how to integrate into our culture. I told him it is also essential for him to be able to do that. At Ferrari, he will be in a different environment [than what he is used to].

The Ferrari F1 team had a promising 2024 season. Leclerc and Co. finished in second place in the constructors standings and things are looking good for them ahead of 2025. From Hamilton’s perspective, this is good news going into his debut campaign with the team.

The Brit has high expectations from Ferrari and the same is the case with the well-known Tifosi fanbase. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, next year’s campaign will be an extremely fascinating watch for varied reasons.
