London – The world reeled in shock and deep sadness as the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, appeared in a poignant video message on Friday evening (local time) to announce that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
This shocking announcement put an end to weeks of intense speculation and concern surrounding the health of the 42-year-old Princess, following the serious abdominal surgery she underwent in January.
In the video, recorded in Windsor, Princess Kate explained that at the time of her major abdominal surgery in January, doctors believed her condition was non-cancerous.

“However, tests following the operation found cancer had been present,” she revealed. “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said. “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay.”
She also expressed profound gratitude to her husband, Prince William, for his unwavering support and encouragement.
