Jason Kelce was in awe of Taylor Swift as the Philadelphia Eagles legend joined his brother in London this past weekend to catch his first Eras Tour show.
And while there were so many moments during the concert that truly stood out to him, there was one that actually caused him to get emotion. Jason even revealed he teared up a bit.
“Dude the 22 hat, I’ve never cried at a concert, and I was literally tearing up watching this little girl,” Jason said on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast. “I’m about to tear up right now.
It was f***ing so special. It was great.”
During every one of Swift’s shows, the singer comes down the stage wearing a white shirt and a black hat. At the end of the stage, a young fan waits patiently, and once Swift reaches them, she kneels down, giving them the biggest hug and handing them the 22 hat. It is the same style as she wore during the music video for her song, ’22’, from her 2012 album Red.
The videos of Swift giving the hat to the fan is incredible emotional. And shows just how much they love her and appreciate this once in a lifetime moment.
Some fans joked early on that they would have loved to see Jason waiting on the edge of the stage for the hat, but the moment with the young fans are much better.
Jason Kelce had fun at the Eras Tour
The former Eagles center showcased his personality at every moment. Plus, he truly got involved with the Swiftie culture and it was amazing to see.
It started with Jason interacting with fans and trading friendship bracelets almost immediately. And in his typical goofy fashion, Jason put two bracelets over his ears at one point, wearing them as earrings.
The best part was one fan managed to snag a photo.
And that wasn’t all.
Everyone knows Jason is a big beer guy, and at one moment during the show he went to grab one. However, he appeared to be fixing his friendship bracelets at one point, so he had to come up with another way to hold his beer.
This is what he did:
His first Eras Tour experience was a success, and he even went back for Night 2 at Wembley Stadium.
