Brittany Mahomes was mysteriously left out of NBC’s coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs’ opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night – with Jason Whitlock taking aim at the network for omitting her.
Brittany, the wife of superstar Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been at the center of fierce controversy in recent weeks after fans spotted she had like a Donald Trump post on Instagram last month.
Her apparent endorsement of the former President sparked a meltdown amongst liberals, while Taylor Swift‘s die-hard legion of fans predicted the end of her friendship with the pop megastar – who has publicly condemned Trump in the past.
As the Chiefs kicked off the new NFL season with a 27-20 win over the Ravens, Swift – who was at Arrowhead to support boyfriend Travis Kelce – made a number of appearances on NBC’s live broadcast as she watched the game from the stands.
Brittany, meanwhile, did not feature once despite also being in attendance.

After her snub from the broadcast, conservative sports commentator Whitlock took to X to question why NBC had done so.
He wrote: ‘Has NBC shown or talked about Brittany Mahomes? Or is it now illegal to acknowledge her?’
As well as being omitted from NBC’s broadcast, Brittany did not sit with BFF Taylor at Arrowhead despite being inseparable at Chiefs games last season.
It comes after Swift’s fans begged her to snub Mahomes after she appeared to endorse Trump in the upcoming US election.
As they took their seats on the NFL’s opening night, both appeared to be in different suites. Swift took her her usual spot in Kelce’s luxury box alongside the tight end’s family and friends. She was captured sitting next to both of Kelce’s parents – Ed and Donna – in the first half.
Mahomes, on the other hand, was sat with her adorable daughter Sterling Skye in a different suite as she cheered on her husband.

Swift has previously endorsed Trump’s rivals, while also accusing him of ‘stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism’, ‘feigning moral superiority’ and ‘threatening violence’.
But Brittany appears to be in favor of the Republican candidate with the former President taking to Truth Social to thank the WAG for her support earlier this week.
‘I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,’ he said.
Kansas City started their attempt at a historic third-straight Super Bowl victory with a thrilling 27-20 win over Baltimore, who thought they had tied the game up with zero seconds left on the clock.
That was before tight end Isaiah Likely’s toe was deemed to be out of bounds after he caught Lamar Jackson’s pass, meaning the Chiefs instead held on for an opening victory.
The Ravens drew first blood with a surgical drive downfield in the opening quarter that showed there’s no lingering effects of last season’s AFC Championship game defeat by the Chiefs.
