On Sunday, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen went on to win the Brazilian Grand Prix despite starting P17 on the grid. He has since received praise from fans and drivers for the victory, including seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton deems the Brazilian GP as ‘worst ride ever’ for Mercedes

Mercedes secured a disappointing result, finishing P4 and P10 at the Sao Paolo Grand Prix. The W15 failed to perform against the likes of Red Bull and Alpine in the wet conditions.

Lewis Hamilton claimed that the W15 was unusually stiff while turning around the steep corners of the Interlagos circuit. He also stated that the power was lacking in the wheels, which made it even more difficult to control.

Bouncing on the tyres, can’t get on the power anywhere. It’s the worst ride we’ve ever had, particularly through corners, it’s so stiff. Hopefully we won’t have any more bumpy tracks, the last three aren’t so bouncy. I could happily go and take a holiday.

The three-week break before the last triple header of the campaign could help the Silver Arrows resolve issues with the W15. The Brackley-based team’s ambition is to finish in the top three in the Constructors’ Championship and will look to make the car more drivable to attain maximum results out of the last three races.
