Travis and Jason Kelce left their mark on the first day of the American Century Championship golf tournament for celebrities at Lake Tahoe, despite facing some challenges on the course.
Travis Kelce ended the first competition round with a score of -2 points in the tournament’s Stableford scoring system, placing him 62nd out of 90 golfers.
While his performance was below his usual athletic prowess, Kelce remained optimistic, knowing that in golf, a single good shot can turn the day around.
Jason Kelce, however, experienced a more tumultuous round. He finished second to last with -24 points but managed to redeem himself by winning the longest drive competition.
Jason’s impressive 322-yard drive secured him the top spot in this contest, a title his younger brother Travis held the previous year.
Despite their mixed performances, the Kelce brothers enjoyed the event’s camaraderie and atmosphere. They humorously reflected on their golfing adventures during their recent “New Heights” podcast episode. “This is my first time out in Lake Tahoe. Do you have any advice?” Jason asked Travis, who had previously won the tournament in 2023. Travis responded with a light-hearted jest, “My advice would be don’t feel bad if you hit somebody because they bought the ticket.” Jason quickly added, “I don’t feel bad if I ever hit anybody.”
The celebrity tournament’s relaxed environment and playful banter among participants provided a refreshing break from their intense football careers. The Kelce brothers’ presence added to the event’s excitement and entertainment, drawing attention from both sports and pop culture fans.
As the tournament continues, fans eagerly anticipate more memorable moments from Travis and Jason Kelce, whether on the fairway or their popular podcast.
