Travis Kelce Roots for Taylor Swift Ahead of VMAs
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce expressed his support for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, as she prepares for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. In a recent episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” Kelce and his brother, Jason, discussed the upcoming awards show and hoped for a successful night for Swift.
“She’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight,” Travis said. “Hopefully she can walk away with some Moonmen. Those are some of the cooler trophies.”
Swift is indeed a frontrunner at this year’s VMAs, with nominations in 12 categories, including Artist of the Year. If she wins, she would break Beyoncé’s record for most VMAs wins.
While it remains uncertain if Swift will attend the ceremony, her past appearances at the VMAs have been memorable. In 2012, she made history by winning nine awards in one night, including Video of the Year for “Anti-Hero.”
Despite their busy schedules, Kelce and Swift have been enjoying quality time together. The NFL star recently joined his girlfriend in New York City for a weekend getaway. However, due to his football season, Kelce will be unable to attend the VMAs.
As Swift prepares for her big night, Kelce and his brother are rooting for her to bring home some hardware.
