Pop superstar Taylor Swift has gifted her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, a custom luxury car to celebrate his recent accolade as the Pulsinelli Athlete of the Year at the Kansas City Sports Awards on August 27th.
Swift, known for her thoughtful and extravagant gestures, ordered a custom Ferrari Purosangue, Ferrari’s latest SUV model, valued at up to $400,000, to surprise Kelce.
According to sources close to the NFL star, Swift wanted to celebrate her boyfriend’s big win in Kansas City with something truly special.
“Taylor knows Travis has a passion for luxury cars, and she wanted to give him something that matches his tastes,” a source revealed. Kelce, who already owns a car collection worth over $1 million, will soon add the $400,000 Ferrari Purosangue to his fleet.
The vehicle is custom-painted in Chiefs red and features the number 87, in honor of Kelce’s jersey number.
The Ferrari Purosangue is more than just a luxury SUV; it’s a high-performance machine. Equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine, the car produces 715 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, reaching a top speed of 192 mph. The custom vehicle is expected to be completed and delivered to Kelce in October, just in time for his birthday.
Kelce was honored with the Pulsinelli Athlete of the Year award for his exceptional achievements on the field, including becoming the NFL’s career leader in postseason receptions following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in February. The award ceremony, held at the Kansas City Downtown Marriott Muehlebach Tower, saw Kelce taking the stage to the iconic sounds of the Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right,” a nod to his memorable victory speech after the Super Bowl.
During the 51st annual event, Kelce participated in a one-on-one interview where he discussed his charitable work, new career opportunities outside of football, and what Chiefs fans can expect in the upcoming NFL season. He also expressed his gratitude to the Kansas City community and Chiefs fans, saying, “I’ve been here 12 years, and I love the support. That’s why I came out tonight—to make sure you see the faces of the people who love you as much as you love them. I appreciate you guys so much.”
Kelce’s charitable efforts, particularly through his 87 & Running Foundation, were also highlighted during the event. The foundation focuses on supporting underprivileged children in the Kansas City area by providing them with resources and opportunities to explore their interests and aspirations. “Growing up, I had an amazing upbringing from my parents and the community that I grew up in,” Kelce shared, reflecting on his childhood in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. “I realized that it’s not the same in every city that you go to, so I really wanted to make sure that I could give back to that community and give kids who didn’t have certain things opportunities.”
As Kelce prepares for the upcoming NFL season, he does so with the continued support of his community, his team, and his superstar girlfriend. With a custom Ferrari on the way, it’s clear that Taylor Swift’s love for the NFL star goes beyond just cheering from the stands.
