Taylor Swift Subpoenaed in Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni Lawsuit
In a surprising turn of events, pop superstar Taylor Swift has been subpoenaed in the ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The lawsuit, initiated by Lively in December 2024, accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign. In response, Baldoni countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for $400 million, citing defamation, civil extortion, and invasion of privacy. Swift, a close friend of Lively and Reynolds, was mentioned in Baldoni’s complaint, which includes alleged texts referencing her as being part of a celebrity culture that “protects” insiders. She was also reportedly present during a key meeting about the film’s script. Despite the tension, Lively has apologized to Swift for dragging her into the dispute, and Swift reportedly accepted.
According to a source close to Swift, the singer is “not afraid” of her involvement in the case. The insider noted that Swift is a “strong woman” and is “not hiding from anything.” While Baldoni’s attorney hinted that Swift might be deposed as part of the case, the source emphasized that Swift is currently enjoying some private time with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and is not concerned about the legal proceedings.(TAG24, The News International)
The trial is scheduled for March 2026, and it remains to be seen how Swift’s potential testimony will impact the outcome.(Pakistan Today)
‘Thunderbolts’ Marks Second MCU Flop of 2025*
Marvel’s latest ensemble film, Thunderbolts, has been met with mixed reactions at the box office. Despite a solid opening weekend, the film’s performance has raised concerns within the MCU. Released on May 2, 2025, Thunderbolts grossed $162.1 million globally, with $76 million from domestic markets. While this places it among the top openings of the year, it falls short compared to previous MCU releases.
Critics have noted that the film’s character-driven approach and emotional depth may not resonate with all audiences. This follows the underwhelming performance of Captain America: Brave New World, which also struggled to meet expectations.
Despite these challenges, Thunderbolts has received positive reviews from critics, with an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Industry analysts are hopeful that positive word-of-mouth will help the film gain momentum in the coming weeks.
