THE start of the Formula One season is just days away – and Lando Norris will be facing competition from the likes of Lewis Hamilton as he desperately attempts to defend his title.
Melbourne will host the opening Grand Prix of another action-packed campaign.

Norris, 26, was crowned world champion after a nail-biting end to last term – finishing just ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.
But Hamilton is also dreaming of adding to his joint-record seven F1 World Drivers’ Championship crowns.
The Brits will be going head-to-head for podium finishes and memorable moments.
And it begs the question: how do they match up when they are not gunning for glory on the track?
Hamilton, 41, has been in some high-profile relationships throughout his career.
And he has entered a new one ahead of the F1 season – after linking up with American TV personality Kim Kardashian.
She jetted into the UK for an intimate dinner and couple’s massage with Hamilton.
Although neither of them have officially spoken out about their relationship, there is no denying that they are an item.
Hamilton and Kardashian were spotted sitting next to each other at the Super Bowl last month.
But Norris is going through heartbreak as he prepares to get behind the wheel for the Australian Grand Prix.
The McLaren superstar split from Portuguese model and actress Magui Corceiro.
Norris was heard telling Carlos Sainz Jnr that he is a single man as they made preparations to battle for podium finishes.

Homes
The glitz and glamour of Monaco resulted in Hamilton settling in Monte Carlo.
But the Ferrari racer has spent his F1 cash on putting together a jaw-dropping property portfolio.
Hamilton snapped up a six-bedroom mansion in Kensington for a whopping £18million in 2017.
He also has a penthouse in Manhattan, along with a mountain ranch in Colorado that is used as a winter retreat.
There are another two luxury apartments in Switzerland and Italy, with the latter being bought last year.
Norris is among Hamilton’s neighbours in Monaco – having announced his intention to take the plunge in 2021.
Before the big move, he lived in a huge mansion in Surrey, where there was a gaming set-up, simulator and home gym.
There have been suggestions that Norris forked out £16m to bag an apartment with panoramic views of Central London last year.

Lifestyles
Hamilton has a jet-setting lifestyle and also regularly hits the gym for intense workouts to make sure he is in the best shape ahead of flying around the track.
The Stevenage-born racer has become a fashion icon, designing his own clothing lines, and is a regular face at the Met Gala.
He is also a big fan of paintings, having named Andy Warhol as one of his favourite artists.
Norris spends his time away from F1 in a totally different way – gaming and live streaming on Twitch.
The Bristolian is otherwise spotted on the golf course or lavish holidays and founded his own lifestyle brand, Quadrant.

Brands
Hamilton rebranded Project 44, the organisation that handles all his career and business ventures, last year.
It is now known as Lewis Hamilton Ventures, while he set up a lifestyle and streetwear brand named +44.
The legendary racer’s business interests do not stop there because he also co-founded non-alcoholic tequila company Almave.
Dawn Apollo Films is also in his personal portfolio and he has shares in NFL side Denver Broncos.
Major endorsement deals have been struck with the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Puma and Lululemon over the years.
Norris launched Quadrant in 2020 and LN Racing Kart within the next 12 months.
He has also been a global brand ambassador for luxury travel brand TUMI and the face of a Ralph Lauren fragrance.
Richard Mille, the iconic watchmaker, profited from Norris becoming a partner and the same can be said for Bell Helmets.

Net worths
Hamilton’s success on the F1 track has translated to him raking in an obscene amount of money.
And it has also allowed him to brag a reported net worth of a monster £350m.
Norris’ career has been far shorter than his British rival – having only made his F1 debut in the Australian Grand Prix seven years ago.
That has resulted in his net worth being far less than Hamilton – at £22.4m – but holding onto his crown could see that figure skyrocket.
