Because of his recent courtship with music sensation Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce has been in the news a lot. The spotlight has also been thrown on his family, who appear to be enjoying it.

The Kelce family was well-known, but they had never before faced the unprecedented levels of media attention brought about by Travis’s friendship with Taylor Swift.

It appears that Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, is also receiving attention. Nicole addressed her assailants and “haters” on social media on Thursday.

Her message on X, the former name for Twitter, read, “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol. Solid as they come & don’t expect a pat on the back for it either.”

She went on, “Just know everyone has a breaking point & would love for ‘yall’ (because you know exactly who you are) to leave me alone.”

The highly anticipated 11th studio album by Taylor Swift, The Tortured Poets Department, was only released a few hours prior to the tweet.

Nicole and Kelce dated from 2017 to May 2022, when they announced their separation. Following the revelation of Swift and Kelce’s romance in late 2023, it appears that some Swift fans started bombarding Nicole’s social media with offensive GIFs and remarks. She first posted on Instagram, where she discussed the “backlash” and “embarrassment” that she had experienced.

Following a “major breakup,” Nicole stated in a media interview that she had been going to therapy and was concentrating on her mental health when the news of Kelce and Swift’s romance first broke in October 2023. She also shared a message titled “Dear Black Girl” on Instagram.

“It’s always been really important for me to use my platform not to create division but to elevate and unite women, Black women specifically,” Nicole stated prior to the letter.

Nicole appears to have had enough of the hate mail she is receiving from people who are in favour of Kelce’s new relationship.
