Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s whirlwind summer romance has reached a bittersweet end as the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end has returned to Missouri for training camp.
With both of them being 34 and at the peak of their demanding careers, the couple spent their last precious days together before Kelce turns his focus back to football.
Kelce made sure to cherish every moment with his superstar girlfriend before heading back to his NFL duties, an insider told People. “They knew their time together like this was coming to an end, and he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor.”
Despite their hectic schedules often keeping them in different cities, Swift and Kelce take every opportunity to be together as their relationship nears its one-year mark. “Travis’ last few concerts were bittersweet,” the source revealed, referring to Kelce’s trip to see Swift in Germany during her Eras Tour.
“It’s definitely tough to be apart, but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other,” the insider shared. “They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”
Travis is back in football mode
Kelce, who also spent his offseason filming “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series “Grotesquerie,” is now fully back in football mode. “The Chiefs remain a top priority,” another source added.
The Chiefs are holding their open practices during training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. Their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars is set for August 15, with the regular season kicking off on September 5.
Kelce debuted a fresh new look for the start of the football season, sporting a mustache that the Chiefs highlighted on Instagram with the caption, “KILLA STACHE IS BACK.”
The Eras Tour ends in October
Meanwhile, Swift continues her European tour, performing in the German cities of Hamburg and Munich this week before heading to Poland. She’ll return to the United States in October to conclude her record-breaking Eras Tour.
