Taylor Swift only missed one game at Arrowhead this season.LAPRESSE
Taylor Swift fans and Kansas City Chiefs faithful, get ready-because the Queen of Pop is heading back to Arrowhead Stadium! Travis Kelce has confirmed that his superstar girlfriend will be cheering him on this Saturday as the Chiefs take on the Houston Texans in a must-win NFL playoff showdown.
The two-time Super Bowl champion spilled the beans during an interview with Pat McAfee on ESPN, where his new bushy playoff beard was also a topic of conversation.
Kelce, 35, quipped he wouldn’t shave it off until the Chiefs’ playoff run concludes. But the big reveal? Swift’s presence in the stands, which has become a good-luck charm for the team.
When McAfee hinted at an “aura” in the stadium, Kelce didn’t hold back. “Oh yeah, you know it, baby. It’s playoff football, man,” he said with a grin.
Swift already saw the Chiefs beating the Texans
Swift’s track record as a Chiefs cheerleader has been nearly perfect. She attended every home game this season except one, missing only due to her sold-out Eras Tour finale.
Her last visit to Arrowhead was on December 21, where she watched the Chiefs triumph 27-19 over-ironically-the same Houston Texans they’ll face this weekend.
McAfee noted Swift’s undefeated home-game streak, joking that live bettors scramble to back the Chiefs as soon as they spot her in the stadium. “They see her walk in, and it’s like, ‘Yep, Chiefs are about to win,'” McAfee said, with Kelce beaming at the compliment.
Will Swift lead the Chiefs to the Super Bowl?
Swift has yet to attend any road games this season, but fans are already dreaming of her presence if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9. For now, all eyes will be on Arrowhead this Saturday night, as the Kelce-Swift combo continues to electrify the NFL world.
Can the Chiefs keep their playoff hopes alive with their lucky charm in the stands? One thing’s for sure-Arrowhead is set to be the place to be this weekend.
