Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce made the most of his day off from training camp on Saturday, enjoying some downtime with friends.
The NFL player, known for his relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift, was spotted on Monday night at the Golden Ox restaurant in Kansas City.
Kelce, 34, took the time to pose for a photo with a blonde woman outside the Golden Ox.
Although the identity of the woman remains unknown, the Super Bowl champion appeared to be simply polite to local fans, several of whom took the opportunity to snap photos with him during his night out.
While Travis was spending time with friends in Kansas City, his girlfriend Taylor Swift had just concluded her final concert in Warsaw. The singer recently shared insights into her creative process, revealing a heartbreaking lyric that was left out of the final version of her song “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys.”
Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, announced on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 3rd, that she would be selling first draft phone memo versions of some songs from her “Tortured Poets Department” for a limited time. The early version of “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” includes lyrics that are even more heart-wrenching than those in the final version released on April 19th.
In the album version, Swift sings, “Just say when I’ll play again / He was my best friend in the sand.” However, in the slower-paced piano-driven phone memo version, she initially sang, “He was my best friend and that’s the worst part.”
Explaining the song’s meaning in a track-by-track explainer on iHeartRadio in April, Swift said the song tells the story from the perspective of a child’s toy. “It’s about being someone’s favorite toy until they break you and then not wanting to play with you anymore,” Swift explained. “Which is how a lot of us go through relationships where we’re valued by someone at first, and then all of a sudden they break us or devalue us in their mind. We’re still clinging to, ‘No, no, no, you should have seen them the first time they saw me. They’ll come back to that, they’ll come back to that.'”
First draft phone memo versions of other songs, including “Cassandra the Black Dog” and “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me,” are also available for a limited time on Swift’s website.
As Taylor continues to share her creative journey with fans, Travis Kelce enjoys his time off, balancing his demanding NFL career with moments of relaxation and connection with friends and fans alike.
