NFL stars Travis Kelce and Christian McCaffrey, who faced off in the 2024 Super Bowl, have joined forces off the field in a new ad campaign for Lowe’s, one of the nation’s leading home improvement retailers.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the San Francisco 49ers running back co-star alongside Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud in the campaign titled “All the Ways We Help.”
The ad, which premieres exclusively with People, kicks off with a humorous interaction between Kelce and McCaffrey.
In the commercial, McCaffrey attempts to ask a Lowe’s sales associate where to find lawn mowers, only to have Kelce repeatedly drown out his question with the sound of a power drill.
Despite Kelce’s antics, the employee efficiently finds the item McCaffrey needs, showcasing the helpfulness and expertise of Lowe’s associates.
The campaign, featuring 15- and 30-second TV spots, will debut on Monday, September 2nd, and run throughout the 2024 NFL season. The ads emphasize the various ways homeowners can tackle and triumph over their home improvement projects with the help of Lowe’s.
Kelce, who has been a brand ambassador for Lowe’s since 2021, expressed his pride in the partnership. “I am proud of the work we’ve been able to do together to improve our communities in Kansas City and beyond,” Kelce told People. “It’s been a great experience to continue working with the Lowe’s team to help out where I can.” Last year, Kelce collaborated with Lowe’s to supply tools and equipment to professionals building the NFL Draft stage in Kansas City.
McCaffrey, who has also been part of the Lowe’s “Home Team” for several years, shared similar sentiments. “On and off the field, I want to be my best,” McCaffrey said in a statement. “Being a part of Lowe’s Home Team has given me the honor of helping those in need, and I’m happy to continue my partnership with Lowe’s.”
This latest campaign isn’t the first time the NFL stars have worked together for the brand. In 2023, Kelce, McCaffrey, and Prescott appeared in another ad where they took on various challenges while working at a Lowe’s store. The camaraderie between the players has grown, with Kelce and McCaffrey even crossing paths in Malibu shortly after the Super Bowl, dining at Nobu on the same night.
In addition to their work with Lowe’s, the Kelce brothers recently made headlines with their podcast “New Heights.” Travis and Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, signed a landmark $100 million deal with Amazon’s Wondery to distribute their podcast. The Ohio natives expressed their excitement about the deal in a joint statement, saying, “We love this show and the fan base that has grown with us over the last two seasons. We’re going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership.”
“New Heights,” which debuted in September 2022, has gained a significant following, particularly after Travis Kelce’s highly publicized relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift began last year. With the new Wondery partnership, the Kelce brothers are set to continue their success, both on and off the field.
