Jason Kelce is swapping footballs for hoagies in a new Wawa campaign that showcases his life after retirement alongside his wife, Kylie Kelce.

In a recently released video, the former Philadelphia Eagles center, 36, is seen returning home with an armful of sandwiches from the Philly-based chain while chugging iced tea straight from the bottle as he heads toward the house.

Kylie, 32, who took on the role of creative director and producer for the shoot, encourages her husband, “More emotion, J., like you mean it!”

The couple’s campaign for the convenience store brand, officially launching on Friday, Aug. 23, highlights how Wawa has become a staple in their daily routine, according to a press release. Kylie and Jason have been longtime Wawa customers, and Kylie has fond memories of growing up visiting the chain. Drawing from her experience as a mom, Kylie shaped the commercials to reflect the brand’s offerings and her family’s busy life.

“Directing these Wawa commercials with Jason is similar to how I manage every day with our family,” Kylie explained. “I try to go in with a plan, but distractions happen, so we just take everything in stride and do our best.”

“Now that Jason is retired from football and our girls are heading back to school, our days at home look so different than they did a year ago,” she continued. “At the end of the day, Jason and I are a team, trying to keep our household running smoothly amidst all the chaos. But I do tend to wear the coach’s hat a lot of the time, which helped during this day on set!”

The couple tied the knot in 2018 at Philadelphia’s Logan Hotel, two months after Jason and the Philadelphia Eagles claimed victory in Super Bowl LII.

After a remarkable 13-season career with the Eagles, Jason retired earlier this year. This fall, he’s taking on a new role as ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown commentator.

“I’m mostly excited to see Jason excel in a new position,” Kylie shared earlier this month. “I always joke that it’s a pain how he’s good at everything, but I truly believe he’s great because even if he’s not the best at the start, he’ll work tirelessly until he is. So, I have no doubt he’ll tackle his new role and succeed.”
